Introducing Angela Coton: A new chapter for Space Youth Services

We are thrilled to announce that Angela Coton is the new CEO of Space Youth Services, our youth work charity based in Devon. Angela brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the organisation, and we are excited to have her leadership as we continue our mission to unlock potential with young people in their community.

With almost 10 years of experience in the non-profit sector, Angela has a proven track record of driving positive change and delivering results. She has previously worked as the CEO of Streatham Youth and Community Trust (SYCT) a non-profit charity focused on making sure all young people aged 0-24 in Streatham can reach their full potential. Her passion for empowering young people and her dedication to creating a better world for all has been the driving force behind her career.

"I am really excited about joining Space, a respected and impactful organisation working across the whole of Devon. Young people living in rural and coastal communities can face multiple disadvantages resulting in them not fulfilling their potential. Coming from a working class background myself, I understand how hard it can be to believe in yourself and to recognise your own strengths. That's why I am determined to unlock the full potential of Space, to ensure it remains well placed to support young people across Devon for many years to come." Angela Coton

As CEO of Space Youth Services in Devon, Angela will be responsible for leading the organisation and ensuring that we continue to provide high-quality services and programs to the young people of our community. She will be working closely with our dedicated staff and volunteers to build on the great work that has already been done and to explore new ways to support young people in need.

Angela is an inspiring leader who is committed to creating positive change and we are confident that she will help us to achieve our goals and to make a real difference in the lives of young people in Devon. We are delighted to welcome her to our team and look forward to working with her to make a positive impact in our community.

But there is only room for one CEO, so sadly we said goodbye to Kev Henman last month, our CEO from the very start. Kev has taken well earned retirement, bringing Space Youth Services from a concept to a flourishing organisation ready to take its next steps. His leadership and vision has been instrumental in guiding Space Youth Services to becoming the dedicated and empowering charity it is today. Under his guidance, the organisation has grown exponentially, reaching new heights in terms of educational programs, partnerships, and outreach initiatives.

During Kev Henmans time at Space his passion to inspire the next generation and to follow our core values has left an incredible impact on the organisation. As he passes the baton to the new CEO Angela Coton, he leaves behind a legacy of determination, integrity, respect, accountability and a strong foundation for continued growth and impact. Angela Coton will have the privilege of building upon Kev Henmans accomplishments and taking Space Youth Services to even greater heights, ensuring that the organisation's mission and legacy endure for years to come.

We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to Kev Henman for the years he has spent dedicated to the organisation and its mission.

Finally we would like to give Angela Coton our new CEO a warm welcome. We are excited to see what the future holds under her leadership and we are confident that our organisation will continue to thrive and make a positive impact on the lives of young people in Devon.
