Support from a Youth Worker

We offer young people aged 11-19 support with a youth worker to help them build strategies and solutions to challenges they may be facing

What does support from a Youth Worker look like?

As well as our open access session, our youth workers offer support to young people who may be experiencing challenges. This could be with the pressures of being a teenager, such as difficult relationships, feeling low, angry or confused about your future. These are all things that can be difficult to manage on your own, but with our targeted support, you/they don’t have to.

Youth Worker Support is an enquiry based system where you can either refer yourself (a young person) or a young person you know to receive support from a youth worker. Our youth workers can offer individualised support and specialised group work to provide encouragement, strategies and help you find solutions to support you through challenging times. No matter the form of support, all our youth workers are qualified, skilled and uniquely caring individuals, who will work with young people to help them plan and reach their goals.

How to apply for support

Anyone, including young people themselves, parents, teachers, social workers, family practitioners, can submit an enquiry form for a young person aged between 11 and 19 to receive support.

Please take a look at our enquiry guide linked to the button below to find out more about the support we offer. If you would like to apply or apply for a young person, please fill in the form and email it to info@spacepsm.org or your local Space Youth Centres email address.
