Welcome to Rusbrook Youth Centre (Totnes)

We offer Young People lots of FUN activities, a safe, inclusive place to be with friends and make new ones. We have a team of qualified youth workers to create a positive buzz and provide support.

Rushbrook facilities include; A professional media suite and a music room with instruments and recording facilities.

Our sessions always involve creative activities, which include the opportunity to create digital artwork. Emphasis on Rushbrook being a creative place to enjoy.

There is a Tuck shop, and members also get the chance to come on our summer trips and say where they would like to go, as well as give their ideas for our sessions.

As well as the above, our program includes cooking, an accredited award scheme, volunteering opportunities, experienced youth workers to talk to / receive help from and much much more.

Our main room has pool tables, the latest consoles and air hockey, all free to use! We also have a dance hall with DJ booth and music rooms – where you can record & make music, practice on our instruments/ learn to DJ. Our kitchen is fully equipped for you to learn new skills or just practice becoming the next best chef!

We sell a range of light snacks - crisps, drinks, chocolate bars, and cheese toasties.

We have a fully functioning - TOTALLY FREE - pool table

A recording studio with a fully functioning mac - you can make beats, record music and edit your own tracks - you can also record from the rehearsal room into the studio.

There is a drum kit, a keyboard, a bass, lots and lots of guitars, and not one but two didgeridoos

Chill out room - we have a dedicated chill out room where you can relax away from the hustle and bustle - this is also where

Our Sessions

No need to book! All our sessions cost £1 to attend, so just come along to a session. To become a member, you can sign up online or on arrival at our youth centre. If you would like to visit the centre before attending a session, be sure to get in touch!

  • Juniors

    Tuesdays 6:30 - 9:00 pm

    Years 7 & 8

    This session is for young people in years 7 and 8. We offer information, advice, and support on a range of concerns – especially as they settle into secondary school. We have table tennis, pool, music room, media suit, xbox and much more!

  • Seniors

    Wednesdays 6:30 – 9:00 pm

    Years 9 to 19 years old

    This is our session for years 9+. We run activities like arts / crafts, music sessions, pool and table tennis competitions, dancing and other fun competitions. (see our Instagram) and a snack bar where food and drinks are available to purchase.

  • Inters

    Thursdays 6:30 – 9:00 pm

    Years 8, 9 & 10

    For young people in years 8, 9 & 10! We provide loads of fun activities aimed to appeal to a wide range of young people in the community: including table tennis, pool, music recording, DJing, dodgeball, arts, crafts, as well as improvised activities inspired and thought up by the club members.

    Hi, my name is Brandon and I am a senior here in Totnes, I've always loved sports and playing them as I grew up so when we do sporty stuff here at the centre I love getting involved and being a part of the fun.

    Hi im Colette i’m a youth support worker, I have a number of interests that i enjoy doing with my children. Them being baking, crafting, going on long walks and visiting new places! I am excited for my new journey with space!

    My name is Karin Saunders and I am the Part-time Administrator at Rushbrook YC - on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I also look after Duke of Edinburgh Award for DYS SPACE the rest of the time. I am fairly new to Devon but I have been doing youth work for the last 20 years. I enjoy walking and exploring the local towns and countryside. For fun I love playing in a local Samba Band and reading.

    Hi I am Tabitha, when I’m not supporting young people I enjoy leading forest school and sculpting with clay which I teach in my studio.
