Coping with Covid

Free info and resources to help you thrive

Covid regulations have changed but covid hasn’t gone away. What do the new regulations mean and how can we still take care of ourselves and protect others from covid-19?

Learn how to adapt to covid with our easy to follow coronavirus toolkit. By following simple steps we can:

  • Get back to normal faster

Being covid-careful means there will be fewer covid cases, and that means we can get back to normal faster.

  • Protect loved ones

Covid can affect anyone. Taking precautions means helping prevent loved ones and vulnerable people from getting very ill.

  • Stay healthy

No one likes being sick! Being careful means you’re less likely to catch Covid.

  • Help the NHS

If hospitals get too full of Covid patients they can struggle to help other sick people. Preventing the spread of covid reduces how busy hospitals get.

So what can I do?

The vaccine helped reduce coronavirus cases and hospitalisations, and now the English government has removed remaining covid restrictions (find out more below).

Things aren’t quite back to normal though. The World Health Organisation still considers Covid-19 a pandemic - meaning it is unpredictable. We can all do our bit to make sure things keep getting better.

There are five proven things you can do to help prevent the spread of covid and reduce the chance you’ll catch it.

5 easy steps to reduce covid

1. Vaccinate

It’s an easy, safe way to protect against coronavirus. With the vaccine you’re less likely to catch covid, or for it to become serious if you do.

2. Face

Facemasks reduce the spray of tiny water droplets when we breathe out. This helps prevent other people from breathing contaminated air in. You are no longer required to wear a face mask, but you may want to consider it in crowded areas.

3. Space.

2 meters distance also reduces the likelihood we will breathe in covid or touch people with covid. This could mean you avoid crowded spaces.

4. Place

Open windows regularly to let coronavirus particles out.

5. Hands

Keep washing your hands! The reason we should do it for 20 seconds is so the soap has time to break down viruses and bacteria before we wash it off. This is a great way to stay healthy from many illnesses.
