An investment in Space is an Investment in Devon’s Future

“I was in a very unhealthy relationship that led me to self harm, do drugs and alcohol. The youth centre was not only my safe space to go when I needed help, but they also helped and supported me with professional help in order for me to recover.

I no longer have any of those unhealthy coping methods and will be forever grateful to the youth centres.”

Your donations have a huge impact on the lives of young people in Devon. As a charity we rely on the help of our friends and supporters to continue unlocking potential with young people and their communities.

For decades, Devon has been one of the few counties to retain a professional youth service. However, due to rising costs and an uncertain funding landscape, we must become more self-reliant to ensure no young person in Devon loses the support they need.

Growing up has never been easy, but all young people are vulnerable in the world we live in today - from the pressures of the digital world and exam stress, to rural isolation and the rising cost of living. For some, these challenges are even greater due to poverty, discrimination, or difficult home lives.

We believe every young person - regardless of their background - deserves a safe place to grow. Our approach prioritises prevention over intervention, meaning young people don’t have to reach crisis point before they get support. Our approach also means that when life does get tough, their trusted and trained youth workers are there to catch them.

Your donation is not only an investment in prevention, safety, and opportunity…

It is an investment in Devon’s future.

Monthly support will go towards ensuring the long-term security of our services…

We know that times are tough and money is tight, but every little helps towards our cause; many young people are struggling to afford our £1 session-entry fee.

£5/month can help us ‘look the other way’ when young people can’t afford our session entry fee of £1!

£10/month will provide resources for fun and skill-building activities for young people in our sessions e.g., cooking, crafts, career guidance, sports and wellbeing activities.

£20/month will help fund our weekday-evening sessions, which are open to any and all young people, providing a safe space to socialise, skill-build and access support!

How you can make a difference…
