BBC radio Devon recorded an interview with 2 Block club members and Jenni Scott (senior youth worker), on Tuesday 19th May, LISTEN HERE

We moved our SEND youth club sessions online when the pandemic started.

The session went really well and it was great to see the young people. We ran a scavenger hunt, Where young people had to find an item and bring it back to the screen. This worked really well and also engaged members that are sometimes less inclined to get involved in session, which was a positive.

The group were excited to see each other and were chatting away. Some young people wanted a one to one chat with youth workers, so we offered a call back to accommodate this. We let the group know that when we were explaining the objects to find we would mute everyone so they could all hear. This worked well and gave structure to the session. We finished the session by letting young people know what to bring next week and all showed thumbs up to come next week.
