Is This Okay? Harmful Sexual Behaviour Programme
The ‘Is This Okay?’ programme is an early-intervention initiative delivering targeted support and education to young people at risk of experiencing or exhibiting harmful sexual behaviours, with a particular focus on girls and young women. It is designed to strengthen young people’s ability to recognise risk and keep themselves safe, while also capturing their lived experiences of sexual harm. These insights are used to inform stakeholders and local authorities, supporting more effective strategies to enhance the safety, wellbeing, and outcomes of young people across Devon. Our structured 6-week programme addresses Harmful Sexual Behaviours (HSB) among students in years 9 and above. Aligned with the PSHE curriculum, this program offers holistic education on the following topics:
Healthy Relationships
Online Violence and Gore Content
Community Safety
Porn and the Law
Consent and the Balance of Power
Misogyny
Violence and Abuse in Relationships
Sex Education
Where to get Support
By integrating feedback from participants and schools, we refine our approach to maximize impact and support for young people.
