Community Fundraising

As Valentine's Day approached, my friend Maddie and I decided to do something a little different. We wanted to spread love in our community while supporting a cause we deeply care about - Space Youth Services. So, armed with roses, tulips, and plenty of enthusiasm, we went out and fundraised for the charity closest to our heart.

It was so fun to prep those flowers, tying ribbons and writing cards. It wasn't just about selling them; it was about connecting with people and sharing our passion for Space.

Let me tell you a bit about Space Youth Services. They're all about unlocking potential in young people, providing them with a safe space to learn, create, and grow. With ten youth centres across Devon, and some amazing community projects, they're making a real difference in the lives of young people in Devon

Our fundraiser wasn't flashy or complicated. It was simple yet effective, reminding us that making a difference doesn't have to be hard. By selling flowers and encouraging donations, we were able to raise funds to support Space's incredible work. Every purchase and conversation was a gesture of support for the young people in our community.

As I reflect on our Valentine's Day fundraiser, I'm filled with gratitude for the opportunity to spread love and kindness. It's a reminder that each of us has the power to create positive change, no matter how small our actions may seem. Whether it's organising an event, volunteering our time, or simply being kind to others, we can all make a difference.
