Year 1 - £19292
Year 2 - £24786 (JNC Payscale point 5)- pay award pending
Once Qualified and Accredited - £27631 - (JNC Scale Point 10) - pay award pending
Qualified Senior Youth Support Worker
JNC: qualified scale pt 10 - 13 (£27,631.00 - £30,896.00 FTE) pay award pending

We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to work with young people in our Exmouth youth centre, the Ottery St Mary Youth Club and other local communities. We are open to two scenarios to fill this position- either a candidate who already has a Level 3 JNC recognised qualification who can hit the ground running in a Senior Youth Support Worker role or a candidate who is looking to start their career in youth work, looking to develop their skills and keen to engage in a 2 year Apprenticeship programme, the outcome of which would be a JNC level 3 qualification.
What is the role
Qualified Senior Youth Support Worker
● Leading youth work in a variety of settings
● Supporting the development of co workers and volunteers
● Codesigning and supporting the delivery of social action projects in the community
● Working with partners and stakeholders
● Planning, evaluating and evidencing of youth work
● Helping young people to develop skills and put their ideas into action
Youth Work Apprentice
● Learn and develop the skills required for the role of a qualified Senior Youth Support Worker (see above)
● Complete a nationally recognised Level 3 Youth Work qualification- fully funded
● Engage in on the job learning alongside formal training and development opportunities
