Hi there! It’s been a while since you last heard from us… we’ve had a busy summer and are getting back into the swing of things whilst the centres have been reopening in September! So as September (and the summer) draws to a close, we thought what better time to catch up on everything that’s been going on across Devon! Our Weekly Youth Clubs Are Back! Our Centres are open for the Winter Term! This year we ran a fabulous summer programme across our 7 centres. Thanks to generous support from our amazing funders and the general public, we were able to offer subsidised trips to Woodlands, Crealy, Ultimate Adventure and Quaywest Splash Down, just to name a few! Each year we rely on the generosity of our supporters and funders to make these trips happen, so on behalf of all our staff, volunteers and young people, thank you for making this summer so great! Check out some photos of the trips below! Hive Live Returned for 2025! Our annual music festival run by our young people, for our young people took place in late July. Young People from our centres across Devon came together to enjoy the sun and enjoy the fantastic performances from their peers! Hive Live 2025 also saw the return of the Hive Live Raffle which was a massive success - thank you to all the local businesses that got involved and donated prizes! Same time next year? 🎤🎸🎶 Georgie’s Grand Reopening is upon us! Community support is absolutely critical to our work and over the last couple of weeks we’ve had some great working parties from local businesses. Thank you so much to McDonald’s in Barnstaple and B&Q in Newton Abbot for lending us your staff to help make our centres look absolutely gorgeous! Earlier in September WBW Solicitors’ Exmouth Branch put on a fantastic fundraiser in aid of Space and the Hive Youth Centre! It was a night filled with dancing and live music from our young people, as well as other local talents (special thanks to the Cameron Mills Group!). WBW have raised a fabulous £800 and we are hugely grateful for all the hard work and planning that went into the event - THANK YOU!
