Duke of Edinburgh Award
How we deliver Duke of Edinburgh
Although you might get the chance to complete your DofE award at school, if you are not at school or if your school doesn’t offer the award then you can still get involved by using one of the open award groups across the county.
There are three levels to the award:
Bronze – 14+ years
Silver – 15+ years
Gold – 16+ years
The Bronze level starting age is 14+, but if you are in year 9 and only 13 years old, you may be able to start a Bronze DofE programme if most of your friends are already 14.
For each level you need to complete these sections:
Skills / Physical / Volunteering
Each level is completed with an Expedition, which means you get to go outdoors! The Award can be matched to your interests; it is up to you how you achieve each section.
